Stevie Wonder Protests Self-Defense

Stevie Wonder is saying that he will no longer tour in Florida until the "Stand Your Ground" law is repealed. I find it hilarious that anyone would agree with opting to curl up in the fetal position and die instead of lawfully defending yourself when attacked by someone. The liberal news media is even going as far as connecting people who believe in self-defense (especially with guns) as racists. Maybe a little history lesson is needed here. The first gun control laws that were passed in this country were passed with support of the Ku Klux Klan in order to take guns away from blacks in the South so that they would still basically remain slaves. Sure they were no longer forced to live and work on plantations but people that are not permitted to defend themselves are for all intents and purposes SLAVES! I find it ironic that most African Americans that follow the Democrat party today are calling for more gun control laws. Instead, why don't they demand that ALL their chains be lifted from them and demand TRUE FREEDOM and be allowed defend themselves from crime and oppressive governments? The cities that have the most gun control laws have the most crime. The world will never be a perfect place and guns do occasionally hurt innocent people but I would much rather take on the responsibility and the risk of owning a firearm and be able to have a direct influence on my own safety then to let the government that has been proven time after time to be a group of thieves and murderers be in charge of keeping me safe. Letting the government keep you safe makes as much sense as putting the fox in charge of the hen house.
